mobile clean truck check Testing | 2013+ Diesel Trucks & Motorhomes | oBD Pre-check + Test

Starting in 2025, California requires all non-gasoline vehicles over 14,000 lbs GVWR — including commercial diesel trucks and diesel motorhomes — to pass a periodic emissions test called a Clean Truck Check. If you received a DMV notice saying "incomplete renewal" or your vehicle shows as non-compliant, this is the test you need.

A CARB-credentialed tester connects to your vehicle's OBD port, reads the emissions data, and submits the results directly to the state. If you pass, your registration goes through. If you don't comply, you could face registration holds and late fees.

Not sure if your vehicle needs one? Call or text us — we're happy to help you figure it out, no obligation. Make an appointment at https://mobilecleantruckcheck.netlify.app/.

Are you a diesel motorhome or heavy truck owner and received this California DMV notice? If so, you need to have a "Clean Truck Check" which is basically an test to see if you have any active emissions related codes. No codes = pass. If your vehicle is 2013+ equipped with OBD, I'm a credentialed tester who comes to you to perform a pre-check and test. Results are submitted electronically to the DMV in minutes.

As a full time RVer myself, I have to do these annually to remain compliant but most other heavy diesel vehicles have to do them semi-annually (2x/yr). Failure to do so will result in a registration hold by the DMV and additional late fees.
